Join us for a musical celebration of the great jazz piano icon Oscar Peterson. The Sportiello, Keller, and Metz trio will present a program showcasing some of the most characteristic tunes that were part of Peterson's wide repertoire that spanned a 60 year career.
From the early trios to the most recent groups Peterson led, there was always one common denominator: the incredible power, virtuosity, and swing of Peterson’s exquisite piano playing. It ranged from the softest and most intimate ballads, to the groovy, bluesy, and medium tempo swingers, to the super fast tunes that truly showed off his mastery of the piano.
Featuring the Italian piano virtuoso Rossano Sportiello, eclectic and versatile drummer Ed Metz, and outstanding bassist, composer and arranger Paul Keller, fasten your seat belts for an unforgettable night of Swinging Jazz at its best!
