Don Soledad presents “Arte y Pasíon” (Art and Passion) – an evening of flamenco.
Join Don Soledad on flamenco guitar and his quartet as they take you on a journey to Southern Spain and beyond. "Arte y Pasíon" features original compositions from Soledad’s albums, compositions by Michel Camilo, Tomatito, Astor Piazzolla, and Chick Corea, as well as other surprises. Featuring Nicolas Adams on guitar, Josip E. Zambrano on percussion, and flamenco dancer Briana Small.
As a 5th generation musician of Serbian family roots, Nicolas Adams offers a life-time culmination of unique Gypsy style all his own. Ambitious and self-taught, Nicolas has been playing professionally since the age of 12 and specializes in a variety of stringed instruments. He is eclectic by nature and accomplished playing everything from traditional classics to cutting-edge, contemporary music.
Josip Zambrano is a percussionist, musical arranger, producer, and radio host. He was born and raised in Valencia, Venezuela, and studied in the Simón Bolívar Music Conservatory in Caracas. Josip began his career as a percussionist in different symphonic orchestras, specializing in many areas before turning to flamenco, playing Cajón. He has recently had the opportunity to perform with local artists in Southeast Asia, Thailand, India, and Nepal, and has also completed his studies in Music Therapy and Mantra in the international association Yoga Alliance.
Briana Small, one of Central Florida’s most talented up-and-coming dancers, is one of the principal dancers for the local Orlando dance academy Flamenco del Sol. She has been dancing flamenco for 11 years and under the direction of maestra Tammy Weber Millar for 8 years.
Guitarist and recording artist Don Soledad has been a mainstay in the US and Florida talent pool since his move from the San Francisco Bay Area. His dedication to the art of flamenco guitar started under the tutelage of flamenco guitar maestros living in the US, as well as in Andalucia, Spain.
